Can Being Hit By Blood Of Dead Squirrel Cause Rabies?

Hi,
Today, there was a recent dead squirrel in the street that was run over by a car. when i was walking by, another car ran over it, and i think blood(most likely) or something of part it's body hit me in the eye, do you think i have can have rabies?

Thank you for query.Any vertebrate animals can transmit rabies if they are infected with the virus.All secretions will be infective .Squirrel can also be infected with rabies but the chances are very very rare.it depends on prevalence of rabies disease in that area.As rabies infecting squirrel means there his high transmission of rabies in the area.There should be many cases of rabies in your area which is very unlikely.So you can allay fears of these modes of transmission from squirrels.though the advice is old i suppose:always wash the area of exposure with running water to flush out the virus or other infectious agents.I do not see any need for prophylaxis.
