Can Benadryl Help Get Rid Of Red Spots On Infant's Body?
My daught is 9 months old and she has eatin peanut butter a week ago and started to get little red spots on random parts of her body. We were told by her doctor to give her benadryl, when she is on benadryl they go away but when she wakes the next morning they come back in different places. What should I do?
I understand your concerns. In my opinion your child seems to be suffering from peanut allergy which is a common type of food allergy. Take the following measures to help her in future:
1. Avoid peanuts completely in future if you felt that the episode was triggered by it. 2. Use Syp. Chlorpheniramine or Benadryl for allergic reaction. 3. Calamine lotion application will help for skin lesions.
In case she develops any breathing problems, immediately contact ER. Hopefully this will help you. For further questions, you may contact me. Take care
