Can Birth Control Effectively Prepone My Period?

I want to change the day I have my period this month. I am on Yaz and I am supposed to take 24 active pink pills in a row and then 4 active white pills at the end of the pack. Will my birth control still be effective, and work the right way if I take 17 active pink pills in a row, then 4 inactive white pills a week early (where I am supposed to take some pink pills) and then finish the pack with the remaining 7 pink active pills? Will this allow me to have my period early and will my birth control still be effective?
