Can Blood Pressure Spikes, Vertigo And Nausea Lead To Stroke In An 81-year-old?
My mother, who is 81, has been experiencing blood pressure spikes with systolic ranging from 135 to 168, as well as vertigo and nausea. She went to the ER a week ago and came home after her BP went down to 135, but I am concerned because her mother experienced many strokes. She is very thin, but hyperlipidemic.
Also it may be white coat hypertension. Decreased salt intake,if symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
