Can Bruises With Burning Leg Indicate A Blood Clot?

A horse stepped on my leg Saturday. Went to er then followed up with my Dr on Monday. Nothing broken but a massive bruise is taken over my leg. My question is, is it normal for my leg to be burning? Also my upper inside thigh is hurting ( no bruising ).? Could this be a blood clot?
