Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi Doctor, I am an addict to opium from last 5 years. I tried to quit it at my own 3-4 times but then again started. Now again I have started to quit. But with this I even want to continue my work. I can't take much off from my office. I heard about bupin forte plus. Would this medicine help me to quit opium without leaving my work. Will it keep me normal , like my strength, I can do any work , can go anywhere. Please suggest. And for how much time do I need to take this medicine. I know that I need very few days to get rid off from opium, as I used to give 1-2 days break after every 3 weeks.
Hello and welcome to Healthcare Magic. Thanks for your query.
I understand that you want to quit your opium addiction and I appreciate your initiatiative. Now, Bupin Forte (Buprenorphine) is a a partial opiate aginist which is used in opiate deaddiction treatment.
However, it is not advisable to start yourself on any medication without the advise and supervision of a doctor. The dosage of Buprenorphine needs to be calculated appropriately and prescribed. Moreover, a combination of medication and psychological therapy such as motivational enhancement have been shown to have the most effective results. So, I would advise you to consult a psychiatrist for a detailed evaluation and further htreatment.
Wish you all the best.
