Can Cancer Be Related With Stomach Pain, Drowsiness And Pain During Intercourse?

Hi, I am worried because I have abnormal stomach pains, feel faint, always drowsy, not up for doing things and sometimes it feels like the room is spinning. Also I get claustrophobic feeling sometimes and very agitated and frustrated. Also I have had pains during intercourse and burning feeling and I am worried that I have cancer.

Hello,

I can understand your fear of cancer hence it would be better to get a proper clinical evaluation, examination and relevant investigations.

Pain in abdomen and thus fainting, drowsy and claustrophobia can be due to intestinal problem. Dyspareunia that is pain during intercourse can be due to pelvic inflammatory disease.

Hence, I would advise you the following:

- First of all consult a gynecologist for internal examination, Ultrasonography of pelvis and whole abdomen. This may give the cause and a plan of action.

- Consult a Gastroenterologist and thus get an upper GI Endoscopy, colonoscopy, CT scan of abdomen. All these things will give the cause.

If all the investigation is normal, then this may well be an IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) that is irritable bowel syndrome. And then, you may have to consult a Psychologist or a Psychiatrist and get a review of whole problems.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T Chandrakant
