Can Children Outgrow Heart Murmur?

2yr old grandson just diagnosed with heart murmur for first time. Ped dr says she will check again in 2 mos. She checked sitting up and lying down. What is next step usually if she hears the heart murmur again in 2 mos. Will he outgrow. Is this serious?

Hi, in children murmer could be due ASD or VSD and as child grows most of ASD or VSD gets closed. So, in my opinion your doctor has correctly advised you. I hope this has helped you. Wishing your child good health. Take care.
