Can Chills, Rapid Heart Beat And Skin Redness After Alcohol Be From Bactrium Reaction?

i had a bad reaction to alcohol about 6 months ago. I have not tried drinking since because it was terrible. I had naseua, chills, rapid heart beat, and redness on my skin. About a week before this happened i had mrsa and had finished taking bactrim for it. do you think this could have been the cause of the reaction?

Hi,
Welcome to HCM. I have read & understood your concern.
Bactrim will not cause any such side effect after a week of consumption.
So the symptoms are due to alcohol consumption itself. It's good that you have stopped taking it any more- for palpitation following it indicates some heart involvement including high blood pressure.
I would advise for getting a cardiac check up & start specific medicines to manage permanent effect on the system.
Don't be scared.. no alcohol & advised medication would take care.
Thanks.
