Can Colon Cleansing Be Done If Having Constipation?
I haven't had a regular bowel movement in quite some time Prolly about 9 years now im 21 i can go about 7 days without having one ang when i do it very hard nd nothing really comes out. i tried dietingand execise and even fiber none of those things seem to work i was wondering would it be wis if i get my colon cleanse
You are young and have been suffering from hard stools and constipation for such a long time of 9 years. As per the history you have provided, you are not able to have motion as the stool is very hard. Hence I would suggest the following: First of all get an X-ray of abdomen in standing position so that we can see if the bowel is loaded with fecoliths or not. If fecoliths are there you surely need bowel cleansing. This should be done by a soap and water enema till the colon is cleared of fecoliths. Then only it is possible to have proper motions with the help of stool softeners and laxatives whichever suits your bowel. Have high fiber diet along with plenty of oral fluids. Avoid the foods and beverages that are known to give you hard stools and constipation.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
