Can Computer Games Cause Fast Heart Rate And Shaking?

Hi - I am 16 year old male and started having anxiety attacks about 2 months ago. Heart rate fast and shake. I play computer games and could those be affecting me and having this affect? If so, what is my best treatment without drug to control and get rid of anxiety that I am experiencing? I can talk it out with my mom and relax after about 2-3 minutes but they scare me and I need options so these don't control my life. Thanks.

Hello!
I understand your concern and would explain that your symptoms are typical of anxiety.

For this reason, the main thing to do would be focus on your anxiety.

in this regard, I would recommend trying Yoga and a lot of physical activity. At your age, drugs are not the best treatment choice for anxiety.

I would also recommend checking your thyroid hormone levels to exclude possible thyroid gland dysfunction.

I hope to have been helpful!

If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask me again!

Wishing good health,

Dr. Iliri
