Can Consumption Of Effexor Cause Anxiety?
Have been on effexor xr for 10 years......with insurance changes I had change to generic (bad side effects) and then was prescribed Prosiliq. After about 10 days on this, due to numbing arm and fingers, chills and head zaps. Fortunately, my insurance was able to cover my old medicine Effexor XR. I have been a dosage of 300mg for a little over 5 weeks, with increasing anxiety..??? Need to increase anxiety meds when I should be leveling off. Should this b expected or not a surprise?

Hello.Anxiety is a common side effect of Venlafaxine. 300 mg per day is a high dose, it is normal to experience anxiety at this dose. When is prescribed that dose of Venlafaxine,is recommended combining Venlafaxine with any anxiolytic drug
as Alprazolam or Lorazepam.Please consult your doctor for a prescription.
