Can Continual Cipralex Usage Cause Fatigue And Laziness?

I have been on Cipralex for three years now. I am 53 years old. My name is Debbie. I am discouraged about always feeling sleepy and I am not ambitious at all, I get a good nights sleep, but still want to sleep off and on during the day. I am thinking of trying to stop taking Cipralex and want to know how. I take 10mg every day when I fwt up.

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello Debbie,
Welcome to HCM.
Cipralex may cause drowsiness especially at the beginning of treatment. The symptoms you have described can occur with depression also.
If you were fine at the beginning but have developed these symptoms now, you require to be reassessed.
Your psychiatrist would decide whether you require a new dose or a change of medicine.
I am available if you have more queries.
Take care
