Can Delay In Periods With Bulky Uterus And White Discharge Suggest Pregnancy?

Hi Doctor, I have missed period since last 2 months and I just had a checkup with doctor and came she says my uterus is little bulky and asked to get ultra scan tommorow, Im having severe white discharge and light reddish in colour, is it a sign of pregnancy or not

Hello,

During the pregnancy, the uterus does grow in size, become soft and bulky. Also during pregnancy, there is an increased discharge of the mucous, however, it is not mixed with blood.

If you have missed your period for two months, a urine pregnancy test also may diagnose your pregnancy though ultrasonography will be a direct visual proof of it. From your history, it appears that you are pregnant, now please get it confirmed by a urine pregnancy test and ultrasonography.

If you are pregnant and there is blood-stained vaginal discharge, you should report to the obstetrician and take bed rest. You may require Progesterone supplementation in case the discharge is not associated with pains.
