My left eyelid is retracting and my right eyelid is slanted downward. I have been seen by several doctors and have ran several blood test in which all came back normal. No signs of thyroid problems, graves disease, etc. I am however a type 1 diabetic with high sugars. Been a diabetic for 9 years now taking insulin. My A1C is 8.3. Could this be the cause of my eye problems? Have had this issue for a year now.
You are Right!!! High or fluctuating blood sugars can sometimes cause unexplained symptoms or problems. Having said this i should also mention that lid drooping is not the commonest of the complaints. So please bring your sugars under control with HbA1c less than 7 50-60% of your complaints will vanish... Wishing you the best!!!
