Can Diarrhea In A Child, When Not Healed By Ibuprofen, Indicate An Intestinal Problem?

My almost 3 year old son vomited through the night two nights ago and had diarrhea all the next morning (yesterday). He then developed some of the stinkiest gas I have ever smelled. Today. he is running a fever over 101 and he has been farting constantly and it seems to be getting stinkier. I gave him toddler ibuprofen for the fever and am giving him lots of water. Could he possibly have a stomach or intestinal problem? I noticed his breath was pretty stinky a week before all this happened.

Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

Bad odour is quite common in children especially while they are having viral infection.
I hope there is no distension of abdomen and there is no vomiting at present.
If the fever does not subside or distension develops, kindly consult Pediatrician.
Continue giving him WHO recommended ORS not just plain water,

In case you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you.

Wishing you happy and healthy life

Take Care
