Can Diarrhoea Cause Variation In Blood Calcium Levels?

My 32 month daughter has elevated calcium in her blood. She has also had recurrent abdominal pain, lack of appetite and mucus in her loose stool aprox 1 bad episode of mucus diarrhoea a week are the two related and because of the diarrhoea should she have her calcium levels in her blood checked more often than 6 monthly ??

Hi...high calcium levels and recurrent abdominal pains are suggestive of hyperparathyroidism. I suggest you work up in this line. Sometimes high calcium levels can be deleterious to the heart.
