Can Diet Affect Behavior & Concentration In Children?

Hi I think my son who s nearly 3 and half may have a degree of ADHD, the doctors already confirmed he is hyperactive but left it at that but I don t want to go back to doctors I d like to try alternatives, how much does diet affect behaviour and concentration? Please really need some advice

Hi, thanks for asking.
Iron deficiency is under investigation as a cause for ADHD. Iron deficiency causes hyperactivity irritability and low concentration. You may try giving him iron supplementation for three months.
You may also try sensory integration therapy for his hyperactivity as an alternative. I would suggest you consult a developmental and behavioural paediatrician.
