Can Discoloured And Thicker Toes Cause Any Problem In Future?
my baby s big toes are slightly discolored and slightly thicker at the top corners. also the top middle is concaved on the skin. i am worried that she will have problems in the future. i thought it may be damage due to the bouncing on her toes in the jumperoo
Thick, yellow, or discolored toenails are frequently caused by infection from a fungus. This same type of fungus also causes athletes foot. I suggest using an anti fungal cream for local application such as Clotrimazole cream. I also suggest using an anti-fungal such as Fluconazole 150 mg for three days. I recommend to use cotton socks.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
