Can Discontinuing Aten D Cause Any Problem?

Hello I have been taking ATEN D for over 10 years -one tablet in the morning and one Tablet of AMTAS,2.5 AT night. I came to Toronto and my ATEN -D tablet is over. I have two days to get back to newyork. can I manage with one tablet of AMTAS for 2 days and start ATEN D from Friday thanks

Thanks for posting your query to Healthcaremagic.

No you can't do that because that will be a gross reduction in the amount of Blood Pressure medication taken. This shall result in sudden rise in Blood pressure which may cause complications.

If you really can't arrange for Aten D ( which is preferred ) then you can take Amtas AT 2 times a day till you get Aten D . Once you get Aten D you can resume your previous regime.
