Can Doing Diet Effect The Immune System?

helllo, i just started the HCG diet about 7 days ago and lost 3 lbs. is this a normal rate? im not sure if my drops are real and if i am only losing weight because im only eating 500 calories. Im also curious to know if the diet decreases the immune system as i just picked up a pretty bad head cold. Thank you!

Hello,

Thank you for posting your question.
The HCG diet is a very low calorie diet that does not provide the body with sufficient amounts of essential micronutrients like vitamins, minerals and trace elements. This might suppress the immune system and cause a range of side effects including heart issues like arrhythmias or palpitations, hair loss/thinning, constipation, headaches, dizziness, leg cramps, fatigue and sensitivity to cold.
I would advice you to start using a Calcium+Vitamin C&D supplement (it is allowed in the HCG protocol) in order to make sure that you maintain a strong immune system.
