hi i juice every day and yesterday i juiced 2 whole beetroots and loads of leaves which i grow in my garden in the morning, last night i noticed i had runny stools which were bright red and again this evening, is this normal, as i dont normally have it as bad as this, but usually only juice one beetroot, many thanks jenny/
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted your history of eating beetroots and juice and loads of leaves which you grow in your garden. You had runny stools which were bright red, and again in the evening were normal. This certainly is the cathartic action of the beetroot and the leaves you took in so much quantity. These can cause the runny stool and the beetroot has a red pigment which is not altered by the intestines hence the red stools. Hence you have to take the precaution next time you consume this or anything like this to be careful to consume only in the quantity that is easily assimilable and tolerated by your intestines that do not cause diarrhea or so.
