Can Either Acid Reflux Or High Hernia Cause Choking While Swallowing Tiny Bites?

I am a 70 year old female with lot of health problems! I have been having a problem lately with getting choked when I swallow my food. My bites are very very small and I shouldn't be getting choked on anything as small as my bites are. I have ACID REFLUX and HIGH HERNIAL. Could either of these be causing this problem? Do I need to see a doctor about this problem?

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I can understand your problem, your doubt is right you must be having Reflux esophagitis due acid, this condition some time causing the chocking sensation, if I would be your doctor then I would treat you with the following medicines,
1) Tab Omeprazole 40 mg at evening time for six seeks
2) Tab Domeperidone three times in day for six weeks
Eat more alkali food like fresh leafy vegetables, avoid citric fruits, avoid coffee, smoking , alcohol prior to bed time keep your stress level low, hope this will helps you, take care and have goo time.
