Can Fever After Having Unprotected Sex With Sex Worker Be The Cause Of Alarm?
Dear sir,
I had a unprotected sex with sex worker in 2009 and after three days of sex, i was suffered from fever for two days(normal fever).from that date to till now i did not suffer from fever but some time haddock only.1.5 month ago, i got married but my wife did not suffer from fever till now. i don't want to check my HIV status. Please help me, if my wife will not suffer from fever for next two month. is it sure that i am not suffering from HIV?

Thank you for query.The dates are too old i Suppose.fever is a non specific symptom It can occur due to even any simple infection like upper respiratory infections after kiss or contact with partner or any other person.also only one time fever is not due to HIV.Moreover You do not have any other symptoms.You need not worry about HIV at all in you or wife due to that episode.You can get back to me for any clarifications .Dr Bharatesh D Basti
