Can Fish Oil Be Taken While Being On Medication For BP?

Yes I m on Metformin 500 mg 1 tablet twice a day, I m on losartan potassium 100 mg for blood pressure, I m on carvidelol 3.125 for blood pressure twice a day, Lorazapam 2.5 mg, zoloft 25 mg in the morning and 50 my at bedtime, and lamotrigine 25 mg at dinner, a multi vitamin, claratin, and levothyroxine, and famotidine 20 mg once a day. I going to start fish oil 300 mg, is it ok if I take the fish oil once a day. I know its not the recommended dose to take but I do have stomach issue and I would like to start with the lowest dose possible thank you Susan Traxler

It should be okay to take the fish oil with the medicines you are on. I also think it's a good idea to build up the dose gradually. Take the fish oil with a meal so it won't bother your stomach as much. The fish oil may be helpful for you since your diabetes and high blood pressure increase your risk for heart disease, and the oil may provide some protection. Hope this helps.
