Can Fluoroscopic Cortisone Injection Help Frozen Shoulder?
Hi, I am a 57 yr old black female weigh 198lbs 5/4 height. I had arthroscopic surgery in October, 2010 for a tear in my rotator cuff. Still going to physical therapy and now I have frozen shoulder. Do you think Fluoroscopic cortisone injection will help my frozen shoulder? I do not want to have a manipulation.
While a cortisone shot might give you some benefit, you must know that a frozen shoulder is a condition related to an impairment in the joint capsule. Cortisone will decrease the inflammation levels on your joint, but might not solve the issue as a whole.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Gonzalo Escobar, Orthopedic Surgeon
