Can Gallbladder Dysfunction Cause Severe Abdominal Pain?
About every other month, I have been getting a gastic severe pain, in which can last from an hour to 10 hours. I had a gastic bypass about 8 yrs ago, I used to get the pain about once every 6-8 months but lately been getting them monthly. I severe pain to the mouth of my stomach, and I start to vomit foam. If I try to take some Tums or aspirin my stomach will vomit them back up and will continue to try to vomit automatically on it own. I normally take the pain until it passes by getting in a fetal positon and laying down until it is gone. Do think it is my gall bladder and should I follow up with my Dr? I used to just think it was something that my stomach didn't like, and I would go through this but lately I haven't eaten anything to cause a reaction and it comes on.
It is possible that gallbladder infection or stones that may cause pain abdomen and vomiting. Other possibilities like gastritis or ulcer disease or outlet obstruction etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.
