Can Ginger Ale Be Given To A Baby If Vomiting Due To An Upset Stomach?

my grandchild which is 4 months has been throwing up for two days,her dr said to give her diluted formula 4 oz of milk to 6 oz of pedilite still sick i was always told to stop milk for 24 hours and just give pedilyte but if he wants her to have milk can i give her flat ginger ale to help settle her stomache? my son has called him and he says its a virus and will last 5 to 7 days without even seeing her and this is projectile vonit help concerned grand mother
