Can Having Sex On 2nd Day Of Periods Cause Pregnancy?
hello doctor, i had unprotected sex with my boyfriend during the 2nd day of my period. now, my friend tells me that there is still a chance that i get pregnant even if i have my period. today is the 4th day of my period and i decided to drink 4 pills of levonorgestrel. can i still get pregnant?

It is true that you can conceive during your period, because sperm can live inside you for even up to 5 days. But most women ovulate later in their cycle, and the fact that you took an emergency contraceptive virtually eliminates the risk of pregnancy from this particular encounter.
So I think you can relax and if for some reason your next period is late, do a pregnancy test but i sincerely doubt that this will happen.
