Can Heavy Drinking Causes Heartburn And Burping?

i had to much to drink and had a really bad hangover where i was vommiting all day since then i have had bad heartburn and burping it has lasted seven days should i be concerned or will it go away i have never suffered from heartburn before and am worried i have done some damage

And of course, heavy drinking is one of the most common causes of gastritis gerd and other digestion difficulties. This is caused by irritation of stomach mucosa by certain food or medications, stress and smoking. You need to avoid fried food, carbonated drinks, coffee, alcohol and spicy food. You should eat more milk products, vegetables and boiled food. Also, certain antiacid medications may be required and gastroscopy should be done if symptoms persist since ulcer or even tumor may be an underlying cause...
