Can High Tsh Level Effect Pregnancy?

hello dr.. i am 25 years old. my tsh level is 20.21 at 18-07-2012. My dr. prescribed me Tab. eltroxin 100..to b taken empty stomach. b'coz of high tsh level my periods are irregular... I want to conceive a baby.. so is it any problem in conceiving during this problem?

Hi,welcome to healthcare magic forum.I have gone through your question.As you have high TSH level & you are taking medication for that, chances for getting pregnant is less.Better be in regular contact with your doctor and keep trying.Once the TSH level will decrease chances for getting pregnant will also increase.So continue the same medicine.Wish you good health.
