Can Hysterectomy Be Done To Cure Adenomyosis?

I saw my dr because I am getting irregular periods and constantly so bloated, distended and gassy that I can hardly get through the day as it causes so much discomfort. Turns out I have adenomyosis. I had surgery years ago for endometriosis and on ovarian cyst. I am 40 and have had my children. Can I just request a hysterectomy so I can feel back to normal?
