Can I Do Push Ups Inspite Of Having Costochondritis?

Hello, I am a 21 year old male and I had been doing 300 pushups per day for about 2 years, A month ago I got very sharp pain in my sternum area, I was told it was costal chondritus, the pain is very minimal now and it comes and goes, can I get back to maybe 100 pushups or maybe like 40 pull-ups? Thank you very much.

Hello,

You can do push-ups.

It will not worsen your present conditions.

As of now you can use analgesics/anti-inflammatory combination like aceclofenac/serratiopeptidase for symptomatic relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
