I have read your description and understand your concern.
Missing birth control pills as per the schedule always carries a risk of
pregnancy, when you have
unprotected intercourse during that time.
Since it was the last active pill and towards the end of the scheduled pack, the chances of pregnancy happening is less.
However, you need to take the sugar pills as scheduled and start the new pack once the current pack gets over.
It is advisable to use other modes of
contraception like condoms and spermicides, in case you have intercourse, till you get your periods, if this happens again.
Alternately, in case it is not more than 72 hours following unprotected intercourse, you can take an
emergency contraceptive pill (morning-after pill), for which withdrawal bleeding should happen within 3 weeks.
If the periods gets delayed by any chance under such circumstances, you need to take a urine pregnancy test and seek medical attention promptly.
