Can I Give Strocit Plus To A Brain Stroke Patient?

Sir, My Father is 64 Years old, last 1.1/2 month back he suffer from brain stroke in his right brain.We consult with 3 senior doctor . 1st Doctor giving Ecospin 75, Stator 20 but not given strocit tab, 2nd doctor give same medicine including strocit 500 BD only for 10 days and 3rd doctor also given same medicine (eco and stator) but include strocit plus for 2 month. Could u please suggest whether we can give strocit plus for 2 month.

Thanks for using Healthcaremagic. Strocit plus contains a combination of neuroprotective drugs for people with stroke. No difference in outcome between using and not using it. There is no harm if you use it even for 6 months. Take care. Bye

Dr prescribed us to given Storax 500 tab for 10 days .
Could u please suggest is it beneficial for him or not ?

StroCit or citicoline is used by some doctors for early recovery of stroke. However the results from many trials are mixed and benefit of the same is questionable.... In light of present evidence it is not an absolutely essential drug . In brief, u can give it but don't expect much benefit ....
