Can I-pill Be Taken After It Has Expired?

can i take i-pill after one year of expiry? it is for sex after 48 hours i ned to take . please advise ASAP. it is just for precaution that can i take this I-pill medicine and also it has expired 1 year before, i have no other option and no other medicine available, please advise , Many Thanks

Hi,

It may not be effective in preventing pregnancy. After the expiration date, the emergency contraceptive pills like I-pill may become less potent and if its potency goes down it may result in an unwanted pregnancy.
