Can I Stop Taking Niaspan After Feeling Tired And Lack Of Energy?

My hubby is diabetic and recently (Nov 18, 2013) was put on Niaspan FCT 500 mg and then increased to 1000 mg. He is extremely tired. No energy. Can he quit taking this medication today? His doctor s office is not open until Monday due to the holidays.

I advise you to check his Blood sugars . If it is 70mg / dl or less than that give him some sugar and some meal to eat .

Stopping Niaspan FCT for few days will not cause any problem . You can stop . But do check his blood sugars .
