Can I Take Flurbiprofen And Sertraline Together?

I had a root canal yesterday, and dentist prescribed Flurbiprofen 100mg I am on Sertraline 100 mg daily. I m very sensitive to drugs and am worried about the bleeding, etc. if I combine these meds. doc told me to take Flur. for 3-5 days. I m not having pain - just a little discomfort so I took a regular Ibuprofen - 200mg a little while ago. Yesterday I took an 800 mg Ibuprofen that nurse gave me after the procedure, but other than that I ve been taking 200mg Ibup. for a few days with the toothache.

Hi & Welcome.
I can understand concern regarding the safety of Flurbiprofen while taking Sertraline.

It is not advisable to take Flurbiprofen & Sertraline together.

Using Sertraline together with Flurbiprofen may increase the risk of upper GI (gastrointestinal) bleeding hence they should not be taken together.

Hope this answers your query.
