Can I Take Melatonin To Get Sleep While On Mirena IUD?

Hi, I m a 31 year old female who just had a Mirena IUD placed 7 days ago. I ve been having trouble sleeping, and by that I mean awake until 4am, for the past several weeks. Is it ok to take melatonin to help fall asleep or will the hormone affect the hormones from the IUD?
