Can Inguinal Hernia Surgery Cause Rise In Sugar Levels?

I had inguinal hernia surgery on Wednesday. I am type 1 diabetic. For the past 2 days i have not been on any pain medications, i feel alot better but my sugar has been between 250 and 405. This morning it was 255 after i woke up. Im on 42 units of lantus and 6 units of novolog before meals but im still having a hard time getting it to lower. Would this be because of the surgery? I am a 42 year old average male.

Dear sir ... YES YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT ... the variations in your sugar levels are just only because of the surgery ... any injury, infections or stress can increase your blood glucose levels ... need not to worry .. everything will be alright in a day or two .. good that you are keeping track of your sugar levels...adjust the insulin dose to keep your sugar levels in control...
