Can Inhaler For Bronchitis Cause Fever And Rashes On Skin?
my daughter was seen at the ED Monday night for bronchitis. She had been on Steriods, then Z-pac prior to this visit. They did a battery of tests, as well. They sent her off with an inhaler - ventolin. this immediately helped the tightness in her chest. today she noticed a light, light red rash on the under side of her arms, chest and back. While she had no fever when at the ED, she now has a low grade of 99.3. Could she be having an allergic reaction to the inhaler? or is this a side effect of the fever and bronchitis?
Usually salbutamol (ventorlin) is not causing any allergy. But very few chances of this can happen. In my opinion your daughter may havd viral infection and this infection not only cause bronchitis but also fever with skin lesions in back chest abdomen etc. So consult dermatologist for this. Take plenty of liquids and antiviral drugs.
