Can Intake Of Methylprednisolone 4mg Increase The Inr?
i have a mechanical aortic heart valve and take warfarin. my last inr check was 3.5, right in the middle of my range. two days ago i began a 6-day decreasing dosage of methylprednisolone 4mg. on day 1 i took 6tabs....on day 2 i took 5-tabs....i m on day 3 where i ll take 4-tabs,,,,,,,etc. will this medicine make my inr higher, lower or no meaningful change?
The INR should be monitored daily during concomitant administration of methylprednisolone as The action of oral anticoagulants is potentiated by high-dose methylprednisolone & INR valve increases
Discuss this with your doctor and then decide on the dose of acitrom/warfarin Hope i have answered your query. Get well soon.
