Can Irregular Stool Cause Belly To Pop?

Hi, my daughter is almost 3 years old, and recently i've notices she's getting a real pop belly. Her back also seems to curve slightly. She's not overweight and is actually slightly small for her age. She has a healthy diet, but since potty training she doesn't poo as regularly as she used too (she does still go though). Is her pop belly cause for concern?

Thank you for consulting in HealthCareMagic. I understand your concern. Our bowel movements cause the food to move downward upto the anus as it gets digested and absorbed in the process. So, irregular bowel movements can cause the food to stagnate and hence may cause abdominal distension or pop belly as you call it. Give her fibre rich food like green leafy vegetables and it will help her to overcome the situation. It is however not a major cause of concern.
The increased curve of back is called lumbar lordosis and you need not worry about it.

Hope my answer was helpful for you. I am happy to help any time. Further clarifications and consultations on Health care magic are welcome. Wish your kid good health.
