Swollen feet following knee replacement surgery is very common and may be nothing to worry about but simply reflect the relative immobility your mom has experienced following the surgery.

There are however other problems that can cause swollen feet that may need to be excluded such as blood clots in the legs, heart problems and varicose veins / venous insufficiency. A through examination by your Dr should be able to make a diagnosis and arrange appropriate investigation or treatment.
