Can Labour Pain Start In 37.5 Weeks?

I will be 35 weeks pregnant tomorrow with my second baby. My first one was born at 37.5 weeks. Last night I had extreme low back pain, along with strong contractions anywhere from 3-5 minutes apart for about 2 hours. As I laid down the pain was so intense I couldn t lay there but I could hardly walk or go down the stairs. It had me crying all night long. Could this be real labor? I do not know if I am dilated at all or not. I get checked next week.

Hi
Dr. Purushottam welcomes you to HCM virtual clinic!
Thanks for consulting at my virtual clinic. I have carefully gone through your case, and I think I have understood your concern. I will try to address your medical concerns and would suggest you the best of the available treatment options.
1]Please do not panic
2] Labour pains do not stop once labour process starts.
3] I will suggest you Tab YUTOPAR 10mg 3 to 4 times a day for 7 days.
4] Take bed rest, preferably in head low position.
5] If it is due to gaseous pain ,Tab CYCLOPAM as needed will be helpful.
It is advisable to deliver or prolong pregnancy till 36 weeks, this helps to get baby maturity.
I hope my answer helps you.
Thanks.
Wish you great health.
