Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Knee Pain, Elbow Pain, Thigh Pain And Leg Pain?
My hips and knees ache, and now my elbows are starting to ache as well. My buttocks ache, and my thighs ache. I have a sharp, constant pain down my right leg from my buttock. Fatigued and stiff, too. I fell and bruised my tailbone last June-the pain subsided, then came back in December. I am 54, and a woman. What on earth is going on with me?
Noted the history about a 54 year old woman having pain in hip, knee, muscles, stiffness, bruised tail bone due to fall and so on. I would advise you the following in such a situation: Consult your PCP for preliminary clinical evaluation, examination and necessary investigations of blood as for arthritis and myalgia. MRI of the affected joints can help further. All these will lead to a proper diagnosis. Get a second opinion of an Orthopedic Surgeon or a Rheumatologist as would be suggested for proper diagnosis and get treated as per the cause found.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
