Can Lack Of Nutrients Cause Asthma And Allergy In Children?

Hi
My son is 9 years old and suffers from allergies on the nose eventually leading to asthma. This happens whenever there is a shift in the weather (like hot to cold or cold to hot or even sand storm). I have tried everything in allopathy and homeopathy. Recently I heard that this is due to lack of nutrients and I just started with multivitamins with minerals 3 time a day for a month. Especially my focus is on EFA, manganese and magnesium. What is your opinion?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Allergic rhinitis or allergic sinusitis ( nasal congestion, sneezing, runny nose, post nasal drip, facial pain and congestion, sorethroat) are associated with increased risk of asthma.

There are different triggers, you have indicated that he is triggered by weather changes.
In addition to the treatment methods you are currently using, you may need to consider the use of a nasal spray to control his allergic rhinitis and allergic sinusitis.

You should consider consulting an pulmonologist to obtain better control of his asthma.

I hope this helps
