Can Laparoscopy Surgery Be Done To Remove Incisional Hernia With Gallstone?

I had undergone laproscopic surgery in2005 in vertical about 3 inch above naval. Now, incisional hernia has developed alongwith gallstone. The doctor has advised me to go for surgery for both in a go. I want to know that is laproscopy surgery is possible? as my surgeon has told me that it is not effective.
