Can Lasix Be Taken When On Coumidan After Heart Surgery?
I have recently had a pacemaker put in. I was put on Coumadin 7.5mg. after visiting cardiologists and having INR done she stopped dose for 2 days. I am starting back tomorrow on 5mg. Today I went to internist who put me back on Lasix and also order potassium. Isn t that vitiman K? aren t you not suppose to take that when on coumidan?
Lassix is the brand name for Furosemide, which is not vit.K. Lassix is a diuretic, used to treat hypertension and reducing excessive body liquids. The internist might have noticed swelling or edema and wanted to put on Lassix.
Usually, the use of Lassix is associated with electrolytes imbalance especially of potassium. That's why, he ordered potassium to take.
All the best! Dr.Albana
