Can Little Pot Causes Loss Of Appetite And No Improvement For Hyperthyroidism?

My dad is 89 years old enjoys a little pot at night. He has been diagnosed with hyperthyroid. He has taken three uptake tests and the numbers are not getting better. He was told a heart medication gave him the condition. Is the pot hurting his chances of getting better? Also, he has lost 40 lbs and the pot gives him a little appetite.

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.

He has hyperthyroidism. He number is not getting normal.
His weight loss is due to hyperthyroidism.

He should take drugs to control hyperthyroidism. Drugs like propylthiouracil or methimazole are useful. First of all he should go for T3, T4 and TSH level and then start drugs accordingly. Appetite will improve. Don't worry about that.

Hope I have answered your question. If you have any doubts then feel free to ask me. I will be happy to answer.
Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
